The Michigan Department of Transportation has selected Great Lakes Engineering Group (GLEG) to perform as-needed routine and in-depth bridge inspections throughout the state of Michigan. with many of the bridges located in Metro, Southwest, Bay and the University regions. This contract is for a three (3) year period with potential for a 2-year extension. The purpose of this project is to ensure continued safe functioning of the structures and to maintain compliance with the National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS). The information gathered during these inspections is vital to ensuring safety is maintained through appropriate monitoring and preservation activities.
