Great Lakes Engineering Group (GLEG) was selected by the MDOT Lansing TSC to perform as-needed construction services as part of the continued I-496 corridor modernization along US-127 in the City of Lansing. This US-127 project will be completed over a 3-year period between I-96 and I-496. The project involves: the rehabilitation of 18 structures; over 5 miles of roadway reconstruction; soundwall construction, added freeway lighting, drainage replacement and ITS facilities. The project will also improve operational performance, correct horizontal curvature as well as adjust geometry at the Trowbridge and Dunckel interchanges.

Our team is performing a wide range of services on this project including providing oversight for removal and reconstruction of bridges, sheeting piling, mass earthwork, substructure concrete placement including pier and abutment construction, concrete beam placement, concrete and asphalt construction as well as thorough understanding of traffic movement and maintenance.
