Great Lakes Engineering Group (GLEG) was selected by the MDOT Brighton TSC to perform full Construction Engineering Services on this project to reconstruct and reconfigure the I-96 at Grand River Avenue interchange into a Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI). This project will be transformative for the City of Brighton in terms of ease of access to and from I-96 and surrounding communities. The intricacies of DDI construction, paired with the heightened sensitivities of the local business community, require an experienced, knowledgeable, and tested team to lead the project to fruition.
Our team is performing a wide range of services on this project including providing oversight for removal and reconstruction of large-scale bridges, sheeting piling, mass earthwork, micro-pile, substructure concrete placement including pier and abutment construction, concrete beam placement, concrete and asphalt construction as well as thorough understanding of traffic movement and maintenance.
